2. How to Download and Use Training Kits

Follow these steps to download M2GO training kits, use facilitator guides and videos, and lead sessions that engage and inspire your ministry team.

Each M2GO Training Kit includes everything you need to run a 45–60 minute formation session with your volunteers or ministry leaders. Every kit is ready to use and built around a theme, skill, or virtue relevant to parish and diocesan life.

This article walks you through how to download, prepare, and lead an M2GO training kit effectively.

Step-by-Step: How to Download a Training Kit

  1. Log in to your M2GO account
    Visit marathonyouthministry.com/m2go and click “Login.”

  2. Open the Resource Library
From your dashboard, select “Training Kits.” You’ll see a list of all available sessions.

  3. Choose Your Kit
Browse by theme or search for a topic (for example, “team health,” “spiritual leadership,” or “volunteer training”).

  4. Click the Download Button
On the kit’s page, select “Download Training Kit.” This will provide a zip file or folder containing:

    • Facilitator Guide (PDF or Word)

    • Participant Handout(s)

    • Activity Sheets

    • Supplemental Resources or Slides (if applicable)

  5. Save It to Your Device
Choose a folder on your computer or shared drive where you store team formation materials. We recommend naming folders by date or topic for easy access later.

Using the Training Kit

Each M2GO Training Kit is designed to be simple and flexible. You can adapt the content based on your group size, available time, and audience.

To lead a session effectively:

  1. Read the Facilitator Guide in Advance. Familiarize yourself with the goals, timing, and flow.

  2. Watch the Video. Each kit includes a short teaching or story from Christopher Wesley to set the tone for discussion.

  3. Print or Share Handouts. Distribute the participant handouts before the meeting or share them digitally.

  4. Follow the Discussion Prompts. Guides include built-in questions to encourage participation and reflection.

  5. Close with Prayer or Reflection. Each kit includes a closing prayer or challenge to help participants apply what they’ve learned.

Adapting Kits for Your Setting

M2GO kits can be used in:

  • Volunteer Trainings

  • Staff Meetings

  • Retreats and Days of Reflection

  • Youth Ministry or Catechist Gatherings

You can also modify timing and depth:

  • Use part of the kit for a 15-minute meeting warm-up.

  • Expand with deeper questions for a 90-minute retreat session.

  • Combine multiple kits for a themed series over several weeks.

If you need help adapting content, use Ministry Coach to generate recommendations or alternate discussion questions based on your context.

Helpful Tip

Store downloaded kits in a shared folder (like Google Drive or Dropbox) so your entire ministry team can access and reuse them later.
